The scientific journal Nature published the results of a study conducted by researchers at Zhengzhou University dedicated to exploring the link between caffeine metabolites and kidney function.
To achieve this, a cross-sectional study was carried out based on data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), which surveyed American adults.
The study determined that people with higher caffeine consumption, whether from tea or coffee, have an inversely related risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
