A few months ago The Lancet Neurology published a study in Barcelona on the use of a green tea extract to improve the intellectual abilities of people with Down syndrome.
The clinical trial took place between the years 2012 and 2014, showed that, with the use of the extract together with a protocol of cognitive stimulation, treated people improved their memory of visual recognition, as well as attention, self-control and Adaptive behavior, and that these changes were related to biological changes in brain connections.
Good news, since the Down Syndrome has always been considered intractable.
