Following my own curiosity about the different varieties of black tea, today was the turn for La Pu Shan Xiao Zhong, better known in Europe by the name of Lapsang Souchong.

The first feeling opening the can, has been to perceive a deep and heavy scent. Very far different from other black teas. This density has flooded the room the entire time I’ve been enjoying it, a sign that this is an tea with its own personality.

Once infused and tasted, has become clearer to me that this is a unique tea. The mouthfeel is proportional to its flavor, with density and deepness. It Surprised to me to find a slightly spicy taste on it, without being hot (this tea is as it is, without mixing or added flavor). La Pu Shan Xiao Zhong (aka Lapsang Souchong) is a strong flavor tea, really good. It could be the perfect substitute for those who would like to change from coffee to tea, without any doubt.
