Hello, in today’s session we enjoyed a very special variety of black tea: Dianhong Bao Ta.
Its name in Chinese describes the shape and color of this tea very well. Leaves of the Dianhong variety with golden, bud-shaped buds. With a slightly fermented aroma, it surprises with the shape and long size of its leaves.
We prepare this tea in a classic way, with a porcelain Gaiwan. We add a single bud for this infusion, and water at about 80 degrees.
We use a glass of justice and a filter so that the infusion comes out very clean and will appreciate better its color and flavor.
The bundle of tea leaves begins to inflate and open after adding water, giving off a dense and pleasant aroma.
The color of the infusion is a beautiful ocher with reddish touches reminiscent of the color of honey.
But before savoring this black tea, we look back at our Gaiwan to see some large, fully inflated whole leaves, an indisputable detail of quality.
And finally, we move on to enjoy this Dianhong Bao Ta in its entirety. It has a mild fermented flavor, with delicious sweet touches that are once again reminiscent of honey. And all this in a tea that is only leaf, without added aromas or flavors.
In short, this Dianghong Bao Ta is a black tea with its own personality, which surprises from the beginning with its presentation, to the end with the pleasant and long-lasting aftertaste it leaves in the mouth. Highly recommended, regardless of whether or not you are a big fan of black tea.
Well, that’s all for our session today. Thank you very much for your attention and see you soon.
