Winter is coming, so nothing better after meal than a tea that the one we enjoy today in our Tea Time: Dian Hong Yunnan.

This black tea is one of the most representative of the Chinese province of Yunnan, although it doesn’t reach red Pu Erh tea fame. It differs from other types of black tea in the fact that include golden buds with the rest of the leaves. In fact, we talked before the Golden Yunnan FOP Finest. Well, then we can say that this is his big brother.

Very aromatic at the first impression, with a very dense smell. This tea leaves are large, rolled, and as mentioned, with some golden buds.

We prepare the infusion, this time longer than the usual (4-5 min.) with moderate water temperature (about 50º), putting appart boiling water about 3 minutes before infusion.

As pouring the water it comes a pleasant aroma. The taste is as good as its aroma. With a dark amber color with orange tints, it has a pleasant flavor, dense with a little bitter taste, as the usual on black tea. The taste left in the mouth is very good and durable. Smoked black teas like this have a very special character, which is given by the wood used during the manufacturing process.

This is really a highly recommended tea. A good afternoon companion as well as a surprise if we have guests who have not tried before smoked black tea.
